I qualified as a Nutritional Therapist from the London College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2022 and also hold qualifications in Kinesiology, Health Coaching and Yoga instruction. Before this, I worked in education for over 20 years, specialising in Special Educational Needs, with extensive experience supporting children and adolescents with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, ADD, ASD, Tourette’s, and ODD.

My approach is functional, whole-systems, and holistic. I work closely with each person to uncover the root causes of their concerns and guide them toward lasting solutions. I offer appointments in Intolerance Testing, Nutritional Therapy, Health Coaching, and Functional Kinesiology at our Henley clinic. Every session is tailored to the individual, and I often work with whole families.

I believe in a 360 degree approach to health and wellbeing; as well as nutrition, this includes sleep, stress, exercise and mindfulness. The journey began when I started to make these connections as a classroom teacher and parent. Altha means healing and wholesome.

What is Intolerance Testing/Kinesiology

Kinesiology is a natural healthcare system that uses gentle muscle testing to assess how well the body is functioning. By placing an arm, leg, or head in a specific position and applying light pressure, the practitioner is able to identify imbalances in the body’s structural, nutritional, emotional or energetic systems. Because each muscle is linked to different organs through neurological pathways, a weakness can indicate where support is needed. Intolerance testing uses this same method to explore how foods or substances affect the body, helping to identify sensitivities and guide personalised recommendations. It often works in conjunction with Nutritional Therapy.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy takes a personalised approach to health, using food and lifestyle changes to support the body’s natural balance. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, it looks for the root causes of issues such as low energy, poor digestion, autoimmune conditions, skin concerns, or hormonal imbalances. After exploring your health history, diet, and lifestyle; a tailored plan is created to suit your individual needs. This may include adjustments to eating habits, supplements or simple lifestyle practices. The aim is not restrictive diets, but realistic, sustainable changes that help you feel better. It can be a game changer for concentration and academic performance in school aged children as well as supporting future wellbeing for all generations.

What is Health Coaching?

Health coaching helps you make sustainable lifestyle changes by providing motivation, support and accountability. It focuses on your personal goals and helps you build habits that fit your everyday life. Coaching sessions may look at nutrition, movement, sleep, stress and mindset, depending on your needs. The aim is not just to give information but to guide you in putting your goals into practice in a way that lasts. This approach is especially helpful if you find it difficult to stick to changes alone. You may have already worked out your health goals, but just need the support to sustain them. Health Coaching offers this step-by-step personal approach.
